Q. What if my children don’t cooperate?
They don’t need to! Children are allowed to be children during our time together. We’ll play, move, take breaks, and give them time to warm up without expecting constant smiles or perfect behavior. Some of the most meaningful photographs happen when we let go of performing and make room for your family’s real connection.
Q. where do family sessions take place?
Sessions can take place in your home or at a location that feels meaningful to your family. In home sessions give us space to preserve the beauty of your everyday life. I’ll help you decide which setting best fits your family and the story you want to remember.
Q. What should our family wear?
I’ll help you create a coordinated look that feels natural without making everyone overly matchy. Once you book your Philadelphia family photography session, you’ll receive styling guidance tailored to your family. Finding something you feel beautiful in shouldn’t be stressful for you! I'll help to make it easy.
Q. What if someone gets sick?
Kids are kids and that means they get sick a lot (I have 3 of my own, so been there done that too many times to count!). If someone is sick, I recommend rescheduling because it won't be fun for them or you. Just let me know as soon as possible and we will work to find a new date!
Q. What if our home feels too small, dark, or lived-in?
A home doesn’t have to be large, bright, or perfectly styled to hold beautiful memories. I’ve learned how to work creatively with window light, smaller spaces, and the wonderfully lived-in evidence of family life. We may move a few things aside, but you won’t need to deep-clean or redesign your home before I arrive. During our pre-planning call, we will discuss what to look for and what spaces we can use - that way you aren't worried about tiding the whole house!
Q. When should we book our philadelphia family photos?
I recommend at least 2-3 months out if you can. I know sometimes shift at the last minute and that's ok! I do suggest reserving your date as soon as you are able though, especially if you’re hoping for a fall date or weekend availability. That gives us plenty of time to thoughtfully plan your Philadelphia family photography experience, including the location, wardrobe, and meaningful details you’d like to preserve.
